We hope this message finds you well. Our team at Pastel Salon has missed you just as much as your hair misses us. Since we first heard news about the effects of COVID-19 on the beauty industry, we have worked relentlessly to stay up-to-date as well as follow the new guidelines and protocols provided by the CDC, California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology, and COVID-19 Industry Guidance: Hair Salons and Barbershops.

Salon doors will be open July 13. We appreciate your patience and ask that you continue your understanding as we get back on track with booking and accommodating lost appointments.

In order to better service our clientele in a positive and sanitary environment there have been a few changes to our space, and the manner in which we operate.


Appointments: There will be limited services available. Services that can be provided with both stylist and client wearing face coverings for the entirety of the service include: haircuts, color services, styling, and hair smoothing treatments. Services that cannot be performed with face coverings on both stylist and client or that require touching  such as waxing or threading will be suspended until notified by the county

Visits: Please arrive by yourself, no more than 5 minutes before your appointment start time. Before entering, you must wear a face covering and keep it on during the visit. Customers will be screened upon arrival. We highly suggest only bringing a form of payment to your payment at this time.

Cancellation policy: For the safety and health of our team and clientele, we highly encourage clients to notify the salon as soon as you begin to show any signs or symptoms of ANY illness. 

Refund policy: Part of our preventative measures include all retail purchases as final sale, no exceptions. 

Physical Distancing Guidelines: To ensure the health and safety of our team and clientele, we are taking the recommended precautions from the “CDC and COVID-19 Industry Guidance for Hair Salons and Barbershops.”We are required to ensure physical distancing of at least 6 feet between and among workers and customers, except when providing close contact services.

    •    We are also required to contact clients before visit to confirm appointment and ask if you are exhibiting any symptoms, have been sick, or whether you have been exposed to someone who has been sick. You will receive Screening Questions via email 24hrs prior to your scheduled appointment. 

    •    If you answer yes to any of the screening questions 24hrs before your scheduled appointment, we must reschedule your appointment at least 10-14 days in the future.
